Gear maker
In the new Contour Tool when creating a gradient. There seems to be no way to change the angle of the gradient in this tool. After creating it horizontally in the contour we have to go into the gradient tool, select Stroke to change the angle or change start and stop points. But when going into the gradient stroke, the gradient line is not showing. It has to be redrawn before the angle or start stop handles are visible. It would be handy if the angle could be changed in the contour tool, preferably if the gradient line could be accessed. If not that then at least it would be nice if the gradient line showed when switching to the gradient tool. I really like how the contour tool has two color blocks, one for Fill and another for Stroke. I have always wished that the gradient tool had such so that if the stroke had a not too obvious gradient it would show without having to switch to the Stroke to see if a gradient really existed. Thank you for the new tool. iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra
Staff Sean P Posted September 17, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 17, 2020 Hi Gear maker, This is the same behaviour as any shape tool that has the Fill/Stroke options on the context toolbar. You get the same behaviour on a simple shape without using the contour tool. However I have noticed on Windows that the Fill/Stroke options are not there on the Contour Tool's context toolbar, so I'll get those passed on.
