NEFF file darker than JPG

I take it that the jpg file is that from the camera. This will have had some processing applied in camera. Your nef file will not have. Look in the Develop Assistant and see if you are applying a tone curve.. this may have been switched off.

BtW, the Title field is for you to give a meaningful title for your thread. Go to your initial post and, at the bottom, click on Edit. This allows you to change the Title field to something such as "nef and jpg files differ in brightness".
