BengtCa
When I open the same image in both jpg and nef, the nef file is always darker than the jpg file. This has happened in recent days. A week or so ago, both files were equally bright. Could something have happened to Affinity or what is the cause?
John Rostron
@BengtCa I take it that the jpg file is that from the camera. This will have had some processing applied in camera. Your nef file will not have. Look in the Develop Assistant and see if you are applying a tone curve.. this may have been switched off. BtW, the Title field is for you to give a meaningful title for your thread. Go to your initial post and, at the bottom, click on Edit. This allows you to change the Title field to something such as "nef and jpg files differ in brightness". John Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo).
