Myzlopez
I just purchased affinity photo yesterday. Can I use it to create a book cover or should I return it and purchase affinity publisher instead?
h_d
Hi @Myzlopez! Affinity Photo is primarily an image editor. If you want to create print products, Affinity Publisher is a page layout program and may be better suited to your needs. emmrecs01
@Myzlopez As suggested in another thread in the forum, for book covers you might also like to consider Affinity Designer (just to add to your confusion!) 🤔 Jeff Quote Win 10 Pro, i7 6700K, 32Gb RAM, NVidia GTX1660 Ti and Intel HD530 Graphics Long-time user of Serif products, chiefly PagePlus and PhotoPlus, but also WebPlus, CraftArtistProfessional and DrawPlus. Delighted to be using Affinity Designer, Photo, and now Publisher, version 1 and now version 2. iPad Pro (12.9") running Affinity Photo and Designer (iOS 17.1) version 1 and all three version 2 apps. Alfred
Instead of purchasing either Affinity Designer or Affinity Publisher straight away, you might like to download and install the trial version of either one. Having used the trial for a maximum of ten consecutive days, you can download and install the other one and try it for a further ten days; because of the shared file format, you will be able to open any previously saved files and do further work in them. https://affin.co/designertrial https://affin.co/publishertrial Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 16.7.2 (iPad 7th gen)
