Posted September 10, 2020 Share Posted September 10, 2020 Hi, I am very happy to use Affinity Publisher for my various book projects and created already some books about photography (www.warkentin-newmedia.de) with Publisher. However, I am missing a function with sections. It is great to use section names in text boxes and master pages. What I am missing is the possibility to use section numbers in the same way. An example: If sections would be numbered automatically by Publisher I could set them on title pages like "1. Sectiontitle", "2. Sectiontitle" and so on. But more important for books like tutorials or technical manuals is the functionality to create multi-part-pagenumbers like page number 01.17 for page 17 of section number 1 or page 7.23 for page 23 of section number 7. Up to now it is necessary to create multiple master pages and add section numbers manually as a workaround. This is not only annoying but also frustrating if an additional section/chapter has to be included in the middle of the book.
