select group/single object AD 1.8.4.5

Hi,

In previous releases, selecting a object inside a group was :

- click on the object > all the group is selected

- double-click on the object > the object is selected

In 1.8.4.5, if I select a object inside a group, this object is already selected. The step before is removed.

Is there a way to get the previous behaviour ? I've looked for in preferences but nothing.

Hi lenogre,

Please ensure you post in the correct forum. The beta forum is for specific issues which affect a current beta build (and not the release). Therefore I'm going to move this to the correct forum - please ensure you only post issues that are new to a beta in the beta forum.

With regards to your issue I'm still finding this behaviour to be true and not seeing any difference between 1.8.3 and 1.8.4.

  • With no selection and a group containing two objects in my document clicking either of the objects will select the Group then double clicking on an object will select the object as you mentioned.
  • With no selection I can also directly double click an object to select it. This behaviour was the same in 1.8.3

It is worth noting that if you already have a selection inside the group then single clicking an object inside the group will select it - again this is the same as 1.8.3

If you're still having difficulties could you attach a video that shows the behaviour you're getting please.
