In Affinity Publisher, when I'm typing text on the new page, it's text styles default to [No Style], I have to change it every time. Is there a way I can make everything default to "Body"?

I have tried setting the Text Style to "Body" in the text fields on my master pages, but that didn't work for some reason, when I create a new page and type something, it still switches text to "No Style".

Can you help me out?

Alternatively, it would be nice to be able to update the "[No Style]" settings to match my "Body" settings, so that there would be no visible difference. I tried modifying the "Base" style, but it made no impact on the [No Style] appearance, for some reason.

Just like you I can't get the Text Frame's 'applied' Paragraph Style to stick, I have come to the conclusion that this is just not an actual feature. When you set your cursor in the text frame set the Paragraph Style to "Body" and then start typing.

Regarding the updating of No Style it is rather convoluted. Select a paragraph and set it to Body, now go to Edit > Defaults > Synchronize from selection and immediately go to Edit > Defaults > Save. This will now be your No Style for all new documents. You don't need a Paragraph Style to change/set the defaults just set a paragraph the way you want it to appear, Font, Size, Indents, leading etc and do the Synchronize and Save.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
