billboneys
I have an image that was shot in heavy colored lighting. When I open it in PS Raw or Apple Preview it looks ok but when I open in Affinity it has some areas on the shoulder that I wasn't able to correct. I am brand new to Affinity so can anyone tell me if I have a setting that needs to be changed to make it look like it does in PS or Preview. I was able to use PS to get the image where I wanted it but not able to in Affinity due to my lack of knowledge with it. The images here are freshly opened in both PS and Affinity with no adjustments having been made. The camera was a Sony A7III. On a Mac in High Sierra. Thanks for any advice. APhoto is characterized by performing a clean conversion of RAW data to image data, leaving the rest entirely to the user. Edit: your username is ideal for spamers. Blende21
The workflow should probably be to bring the picture into a reasonable range in the develop persona, and then do the real job later in the photo persona. I would not bother with the highlighted areas in the development, as long as they have pixel information. To me they seem closer to the real lighting situation than the „flat“ picture to the left. So it could probably be used to make the final edit livelier, when not „developed“ away in the first step. P.S. As stated before, change your user name - do not use your e-mail address.
