james hagood
is there a way to view the SVG code instead of exporting as an SVG file? I need to add animations to SVG icons on a website but I have to have the SVG code instead of the fie. Any help would be appreciated. GarryP
Welcome to the forums @james hagood Just open the SVG file in a text editor, once the image has been exported, to edit the SVG code.
Staff MEB Posted September 2, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 2, 2020 Hi @james hagood, Welcome to Affinity Forums There's no way to see/inspect the SVG code inside the Affinity apps. You have to export the file and open it in a text editor. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

The generated SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file is/has the code inside, see the Wikipedia entry for it in order to get an idea about it's format. Animations are supported by SVG using SMIL. The SVG-DOM can be manipulated with the help of embedded functions via script languages.
