Konstructor
How to remove earlier applied Lighting effect? I can only edit effect, I can add new light sources, but I can't find in any way the button which will allow to remove effect completely. How to make it? Thanks
Staff MEB Posted August 19, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 19, 2015 Hi Konstructor, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) If it's a Live filter, double-click to edit it then press the Delete button on the top of the dialog. Another way is to delete the corresponding Live filter layer in the Layers panel, selecting it and pressing Delete on your keyboard. Konstructor
Thanks! Here the difference – to apply the Lighting effect to a layer or to use the live filter with Lighting filter to a layer. In the first case it is impossible to edit in any way!
Staff MEB Posted August 19, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 19, 2015 Yes, the Filters you apply from the Filter's menu are destructive, meaning you can't edit their parameters after you have applied them (or delete them). The Live Filers (Layer ▹ New Live Filter Layer) are non-destructive. You can edit their parameters after you have applied them or remove them completely. Konstructor
Thanks a lot! I couldn't find a video lesson – how to separate the person from a background, for example hair on a strong wind. Perhaps, such lesson already is?

Staff MEB Posted August 19, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 19, 2015 @Konstructor Here's some video tutorials that may help. Check the Selections and Masking section on the left.
