Affinity Photo not installing on Mac hard drive

Recommended Posts

Hello! Purchase Affinity Photo on August 16 and for some  reason, the software does not install itself on my Mac's hard drive. I do a search on my computer and only find the installation drive for Affinity, the software is not found anywhere. I have to install it every time I want to use it... Not sure what I can do on my end, I can't de-install and re-install since there is nothing do de-install. My computer is recent and meets all specifications for Affinity software. Currently on Mojave 10.14.6 Help please.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @lili.b.

The application is delivered as a DMG file, which is a disk image. To install any application delivered in DMG format you open the DMG file (double-click), then you drag the program out of the DMG to your Applications folder, which installs it.

Thank you Walt! much appreciated. I have installed a lot of softwares but I have to say it's the first time I have to install one this way. Learn something new everyday! 😊

This is common with a lot of software and it is great as it is so simple when you understand that it needs to be removed from he disk image that was mounted.
