Hiding "marching ants" in Photo

Recommended Posts

I presume you’ve looked for an option for this and failed to find it. I can’t find it either!

Even deselecting and reselecting is isn’t as easy as it should be. In the Selections persona both options are available via the menu that pops up when you long-press on the canvas, but in the Photo persona there’s only a ‘Deselect’ option (which could be, but currently isn’t, replaced by ‘Reselect’ when relevant).

Can it be done on the iPad version?

You can save selections in the channels studio, as many as you like and even add a name to each of them. This is useful if you want to turn off the marching ants and return to it later.

Yup, saving channels makes sense if I want to reuse them. But I am doing lots of quick, ephemeral selections and I can't judge the result as long as marching ants visually interfere, especially with complex selections. I hope we'll just get the "hide selection" button eventually.
