Exporting to .eps with editable word layers

Recommended Posts

sorry, just realized I posted in the wrong forum.

I'm trying to export some illustrations and files from .afphoto. I have added label and adjustment layers. The adjustments are maintained, but any masked or deleted backgrounds show up again, and word labels aren't editable directly--they are converted to curves.

What export setting can be used to make these functions apply?

I believe in some cases .eps is better suited to print ready file export as it doesn’t support further text/line editing.

Have you tried exporting in PDF format, or if you intend to edit further in Designer, it is capable of opening .afphoto files directly, no export necessary.

I've specifically been asked to send the files using Vector layers so they can remain editable (.eps or AI) The publisher will be using Illustrator for their final edits before printing. I'm finding that if I select my object and either mask or delete the remaining background, it is showing up after export, or, now that I'm trying Designer to add the text layers, that it shows up as a black backing. So frustrating.
