Lost brushes

While importing a brush, the default painting brush category has disappeared. How do I return them?  If the app had to be deleted and reinstalled, is all my work lost?  Should each file be exported to a safe folder?

If you don’t use Save (via home screen 3bar menu)  or use workscreen document menu Save a Copy/Save, then your files exist only in the apps reserved sandbox and can only be accessed through the affinity app. Not very secure, if you have saved, a new type of file .afphoto or .afdesign is created in the default storage folder on iPad or iCloud as determined by Settings. More secure. You can copy/move this files using a file manager such as Files or Documents apps. If you delete the app, the default storage folder on iPad is also deleted, along with any files contained there. Be sure to move them before deleting. iCloud storage is not affected.
