Unable to modify/delete slices in export persona

I have been trying to figure out the slice tool in the export persona in Designer. I had originally created a set of assets in a grid and wanted them all to be exported via slices. After doing this and closing Designer I had realized that the slices didn't match the grid, only the actual layers (silly me). So I opened up the file to redo the slices but I have not found any way to alter the slices, ie. delete or resize. It seems like there is very little that can be done in the export persona but create slices and export, but no way to go back or make changes.

Am I missing something in this persona or is what I am trying to do completely unheard of (unlikely).

I have seen videos of the Mac version at least altering the slice bounds but I can't even do that.

And for more context as to why I wanted to change the slice is that I went from a single layer to a group with a new layer that is transparent, that way I can enforce the bounds. But now the slice is in the group and I want to remove it and create a new one with the group.

You can delete the slices from the slices panel

You can resize slices using the Slice tool (S) or you can select the slice and edit it using the transform panel.

You can auto generate slices from the layers panel

If the asset doesn’t fit the grid you can create a box using the rectangle tool to fit the grid, set fill and stroke to none effectively making a transparent box and then group the asset with the box, you can then auto generate slices quickly using the group. See example below, asset with box and asset without box.

Apparently there was a view not opened that was the one you showed @firstdefence. And after restarting I was able to resize the ones that existed where before I literally couldn't, not sure why that was there. Attached a photo of the view for others.

Hello, just to comment but I think this trash can icon is misplaced, I'm searching for it every-time… maybe should be place one the right side, like all other icons, would be more appropriate...

It is rather awkward for me, that Create slice is in the Layers panel, but Deleting slice is only in the Slices panel.
And yes - Create slice button is right, Delete slice button is left 😵

Agree ! I was/am still confused is when you have multiple artboards…
Sometimes the 'backspace key' works to delete slices, sometimes it does not and delete the artboard itself (certainly because somes slices are linked to it's artboard, but others created with the artboard tool are not ?).

Hopefully, I hope will remember those next time I reopen an old projet...
