How to set "inches" as default measurement?

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @texgraphics.

The A paper sizes are standard (primarily non-US) paper sizes defined in mm dimensions, and thus the standard A Presets use mm for their dimensions and for the document units. If you look further down on the page, after A10, you will find Presets for common sizes in the US, in inches.

If you want to use A sizes but work in inches, you can create your own preset. Start with A0 (or whatever), change the Document Units to Inches, then click on the image.png.2f9f4fe07dcd20cacdebbf3c2f9a82d4.png icon to add your own Preset (which will then show up in the My Presets section of the dialog for later use.

I have multiple documents I created in Photoshop CS6.....and I use inches and it was saved in inches.   Because I create pattern pieces in photoshop inches are critical to the pattern size.    I open them here and they come in as pixels.  How do I have it open in inches in Photo?
