Automate or speed up export as PNG

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm new to Affinity Photo, but I'm loving it already!

I use it to paint textures for use in Unity, which involves working on a .afphoto file with layers for non-destructive workflow, then exporting a .png to be used in-game. This workflow involves a lot of rapid iteration: make adjustments, save a PNG, check the results in Unity, then go back to Affinity, repeat.

Currently I'm using ctrl+s to save, then ctrl+alt+shift+s to export, spamming the enter key to get through the dialogues that pop up, and hear the bell warning me I'm overwriting a file.

What I'd really love is to be able to export a .png as quickly as I save the file, without any of the popups or sound. Is there any way to automate or script this process?

I searched around the forums and found this related post, but no answer: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/46765-unity-integration/&do=findComment&comment=234107

Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi

You need the "Continuous" option in Export Persona.
When this option is enabled, the file is automatically exported when the document is changed.
