benoit__
Hi, I made a sort of pixel art with rect elements and some pixels are not on the grid. Is it possible to snap the 2 red squares on grid ? And do the same to all elements to be sure ?
Staff MEB Posted August 21, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 21, 2020 Hi @benoit__, Welcome to Affinity Forums Go to menu View > Snapping Manager and tick Snap to Grid, them move the rectangles to where you want them. benoit__
Hi @MEB, I know this way, easy but for a lot of elements it's boring… this is not the first time I would like to snap many elements.
Staff MEB Posted August 21, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 21, 2020 I'm afraid there's no way to force several objects to align to the grid automatically with a command or similar action. With Snap to Grid enabled you should be able to create them aligned to the grid from the start. You can also press and hold command and drag the squares to quickly duplicate and align them to the grid. benoit__ 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
AdroitAndroid
Four years on, and I would really like to do the same thing. I have hundreds of squares which I want to align to a grid. When I move each of them individually, Affinity quickly snaps them to the grid. But for hundreds/thousands of squares… it's much too time consuming! Has a quicker way become possible in the last few years?
