DC (PDF Export Problem - Stroke gets eliminated)

Recommended Posts

I created a layered design in Designer. When exporting it as a pdf the stroke on an image on the top layer IS NOT knocking out the image on a lower layer. The fill on the top layer DOES knock out the image on the lower layer, it's just the stroke that does not get knocked out. Everything looks fine when viewed in Designer. Any ideas what's going on?

Let me clarify the " Everything looks fine when viewed in Designer." In Designer the file looks fine. The pdf does not... and when I open the pdf in Designer, the stroke is gone. So it appears that when I export the file as a pdf the stroke gets eliminated.

Welcome to the forum @DWC

  • By “knocking out” do you mean erasing, basically making the stroke area transparent or just masking out like black over white
  • What export settings are you using when exporting to PDF

Thanks for responding firstdefense. I worked around the problem that day, but now I can't remember what it was. I didn't find your response in my mail until today, but I did want to thank you for your prompt response, and your willingness to help me.
