Black window when using designer

Recommended Posts

Can someone help me out? I have designer for windows. For some reason the when I try to do anything to my design I'm working on, the window goes black. It does not affect the tool bars, just the design window. Most times it comes back to normal when I move my cursor off the screen. I've tried everything to fix my problem. I've attached a video for reference. A little help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for the reply.

It does it on all file types i open, even new projects. I've tried everything to try to fix the problem. Everything from uninstalling and reinstalling designer to a full reformat of my computer. I hope you can shed some light. Here is a picture of the settings along with a pic of my computer information. I am also running a Nvidia GTX1050 video cards if it helps.

In Preferences, where you have Renderer it's currently set to sue the Intel card.  If you click there, do you get the option of your Nvidia card?  If so select it, click Close and you'll be asked to restart Affinity.  Once restarted, try using it again and let me know the results :)

It does give me the option to change to my video card. I have changed it and I still have the same result.

Can you try setting the Renderer to WARP and see if you have the same results?

I have tried warp too with the same result.

Can you try starting a new blank document and see if you have trouble panning around that document?  Also could you attach a .afdesign file that us causing you issues?

Is is possible to get the previous version to see if it was something in the update?

It depends on which version (Affinity Store or Microsoft Store) you have.
Previous versions of the Affinity Store are available here: https://store.serif.com/en-gb/update/windows/designer/1/
