Stuart_James
Affinity Photo 1.8.4 (Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6) Has the transparency view recently changed? If I select transparent background for a document the background is white and not a chequerboard? If I import a JPG and use my eraser at 100% on part of the image it erase's to white and not chequerboard? Have I altered something in the application that is causing this or is it a recent thing? Staff MEB Posted August 17, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 17, 2020 Hi Stuart_James, No, there wasn't changes here. It should work as you were used from previous versions. It's working fine on my system running Catalina. Go to macOS System Preferences, Accessibility, Display and check if the Display contrast slider is on the left most side (to rule this one out). Aad Slingerland
On my 1.8.4. transparency is the checkerboard. When you create a new document (File, New, Print, A5 (for example) and you check the 'Transparent Background' option on the right what do you get ? Checkerboard or just plain white? Stuart_James
I get plain white even though Iv'e selected transparrent background? The image you posted is only chequerboard right on the edges? But the little image in the navigator is transparent? Hi MEB - the setting is at the leftmost in the Accessability
