Magda.wloc
Hi,after copying the vector object to the second file, I cannot scale it (there is no problem with this in the parent file), what am I doing wrong? Thanks for the answer.
GarryP
Welcome to the forums. Where does the vector object exist? Is it in a file system folder or an open Affinity document, or somewhere else? What sort of vector object is it? Is it a native Affinity vector layer (e.g. Curve, Rectangle, etc.) or is it an SVG, or a linked/embedded document, or something else? How do you copy it? What are the button presses, mouse actions or keystrokes that you use?Where are you copying it to? Is the target an open Affinity document or something else? How to you get it into the other file/document? What method do you use to put the copied object into wherever you are copying it to (e.g. drag, paste, or something else)? When you say you cannot scale it, how are you trying to scale it? What are you doing to try and scale the object (drag a handle, enter a value in the Transform Panel, or something else)? Do you get an error mesage? What do you expect to see on-screen that you are not seeing? If you can give us a step-by-step workflow of the exact steps you take from start to end we can probably help you better. ( A video would be good to see if you can make one.)

GarryP
A simple copy/paste operation from one Affinity document to another should give you no trouble. Can you try this: * create a blank document; * copy the layers from the original; * paste into the new blank document; * save the new document; * close the document; * open the saved document; * try to resize the layers. What happens might help us to understand what is happening. Magda.wloc
Magda.wloc
Yes, closing and reopening the document solved the problem. However, it would be good if everything worked without these operations of closing and reopening the document, with a large number of copied elements it significantly extends the work time;) but it helped, thanks for the help! GarryP
Thanks for trying that. The extra information you have given may help someone diagnose the issue.
