Affinity Photo Version 1.8.4.693 Windows 10 – Topaz Plugins

Recommended Posts

After the latest update, I cannot access Topaz plugins (grayed out as a filter).

I uninstalled AF and reinstalled it. Added the Preferences/plugins.

Restarted AF and the plugins were not grayed out.

I successfully accessed a plugin and returned to AF.

The next time I opened AF and tried to access a plugin, they were grayed out again.

I have purchased several Topaz products from Serif and I need to use them.Affinity-Topaz-1.jpg.3c68e877ea6019c5aa06825e1147a51d.jpgAffinity-Topaz-2.jpg.8b937ecfdb14ee03bb48cbd7334cb36f.jpgAffinity-Topaz-2.jpg.8b937ecfdb14ee03bb48cbd7334cb36f.jpg

Hi @bcbqwe,

Welcome to the forums :)

I don't believe the Topaz Plugins work with documents in the Greyscale colour space - which is why your plugins are only greyed out with this document open.

If you navigate to Document>Convert Format/ICC profile, then in the dialog that opens change the Format from Grey/8 to RGB/8, then select the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 under the Profile section and press Convert.

Do your plugins now function for this document?

Many thanks!
