How can I draw a border around a text box in Affinity Photo?

I'd like to add a border around my text (artistic Text Tool), or an area of my photo that happens to have text in it. Example of what I'm talking about in the picture below.  I can do this in Publisher, but can't seem to find how to do it in publisher. Suggestions?.

The simplest way is to put a rectangle behind/below the Artistic Text layer, with a suitable stroke and fill applied.

By the way, the noun ‘practices’ is misspelled in your example picture.
