Captain_Koelsch
Hello there, I have all Affinity Products and am super happy with them. Now that the apps in the store are also available I was wondering if I could switch from the installer version to the store apps, because this would optimize my update-workflow and so on. Blende21
I stick with the direct installs. The updates are announced once I open the software, and I can choose when to do it. No need to switch. I want the Affinity team to get all the money, not to split it between MS and Serif.
Staff MEB Posted August 12, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 12, 2020 Hi Captain_Koelsch, Welcome to Affinity Forums It's not possible to switch between our and Microsoft (or Apple) stores since they are managed by different entities. Currently we display a warning when new updates are available but we hope to implement an auto-update functionality later for Affinity Store versions as well (on Windows, they already auto-update on macOS).
