lawrenceingram Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 There are times when I might like one part of a selection to be more opaque than another, and being able to select this area and increase or decrease the opacity by changing its color in the layer mask is really useful. Supporting the black/white layer masks where editing the colors changes the opacity would be greatly appreciated. Or maybe I'm missing the trick. Been searching tutorials for several days (on and off as I have time) and haven't found it. Maybe the answer just lies in a more advanced tutorial for using your mask techniques (for ex-photoshop'ers!). Great app, and please keep up the good work. I don't mind paying for updates as you develop this because I do hope that I can one day throw one of your competitors subscription-based services in the trash. Thank you! Quote
anon1 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 You can just paint at any grayscale on a mask and it will gradually affect the masks opacity. You can also use gradients to greate a fade from white to grey or light grey to dark grey and also linear and radial fades... Does this work for you? Peace :) Quote
lawrenceingram Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 Thanks! Unfortunately (like the idiot I am), I posted before going to my rotational job where I will most likely have 16-18hr days for the two weeks I'm on. I'm trying to download this now, to test it out. Amazingly, it worked just fine! The reason I'm amazed, is because I thought I had really been trying the same thing! Seems to work perfectly now though. Thanks for taking the time to help me out here. Lawrence Quote
