new 1.8.4 upgrade changes cropping tool sizes

Recommended Posts

Following the recent upgrade I noticed a cropping tool problem. Opening any image and selecting the crop tool - no problems image size recorded properly,
but selecting one of the cropping presets under the gear wheel icon i.e: 6 x 8 inches and the information panels now tell you that they may resize your image to 2400 inches by 1800 inches @ 300 dpi, hardly what I want, but when you make your crop selection the document sizes come out as 6 x 8 inches, anyone else noted this fault, happy to ignore it but begs the question what would happen when i want to input a size?

Sounds related to the bug I reported. Though the units say "inches" I think you'll find the measurements are in pixels.

thanks any response from AF

A moderator responded to that topic, saying it would be fixed soon. Hopefully that will fix your issue, too.

The error in AP 1.8.4.693 also occurs with me. In addition, there are different size specifications after cutting and when exporting. Corresponding screenshots are attached. So far everything is OK in the BETA.

Auch bei mir tritt der Fehler in AP 1.8.4.693 auf. Zusätzlich  gibt es nach dem Zuschneiden und beim Exportieren unterschiedliche Größenangaben. Entsprechende Screenshots anbei. In der BETA ist soweit alles OK.

Really should be the other way round though!

It's easy to work around so I'm not too bothered but was this issue in the previous beta before the .4.693 release and no one noticed it? I doubt it for something so basic, that i find a bit worrying.

  • 2 weeks later...

But it bothers me that my document is now supposedly 1574.41 cm x 1151.1 cm

Aber mich stört das schon, dass mein Dokument jetzt angeblich 1574,41 cm x 1151,1 cm groß ist.

That was, I think, fixed in 1.8.5.
