File size keeps growing after every export when I apply offset filter

When I apply the Affine filter (offset in this particular case) the exported file size (in png or tiff) is getting much bigger. When I first export my file in tiff without any filters it is around 30 MBs. Then I apply a 20% X offset and the exported size is around 60 MBs. Then a few more offsets and my file size is more than 100 MBs. I always use the same export settings and literally no pixels change in the document, they are just offset. Are there any hidden layers created by this filter? I tried ticking "Don't export layers hidden by Export persona", but my file size keeps growing after every export. How could I solve this problem?

Hi and welcome to the forums @Jimmy21,

This sounds like a case of the history being saved with the file. Go to File > Save History with Document (I think that is what it is called) and uncheck it. Then save it as a copy and compare the file sizes.

To reduce the exported file size you might want to deselect the Save Layers option. I didn't save but the estimated size looks promising:

p.s.: The Save History option is rather relevant for the native Affinity document file size.

The problem was reported as occurring for PNG or TIFF, but the "Save Affinity Layers" is not applicable for PNG. So something else is probably happening.
