countbasil
I am trying to get an iimage close to the text that describes it, but the text is jumping below the image as I move the object towards the text. This is despite having a "zero" setting for "distance from text." The spacing after paragraph is only 3 points as well. countbasil
Thank you! Will do... But shouldn't the distance from the wrap outline to the text already be 0 as that's the value of the "distance from text" setting? Seems like a little bug? And makes extra work if you just want to throw a graphic in right under text which I'm doing (and do a lot 😬)...

Seems like a little bug? It works for me with distance = 0 as expected, without manually adjusting the wrapping outline. Can you upload an Affinity document with these two objects and the image embedded? Note if the image gets the wrapping applied and is cropped by a picture frame then it will cause such a result. countbasil
Hi all, Okay thanks to input from you guys, I have figured out what's happening. The excessive margin for text wrap is a bug that happens only for embedded (or linked) Affinity Designer documents. It does NOT happen if I paste objects in from an Affinity Designer document (or with normal JPGs, etc) Demonstrated this here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/yAubLkjx File is attached as well. I don't get such issues with a linked .afdesign. – Maybe it's caused by something with your specific .afdesign? countbasil
Don't know 😛 But thanks for checking Here's the file from which the artboard came (tried both linked and embedded), in case it helps a developer! waffle use to get to microsoft apps Teams and OneNote.afdesign
thomaso
This .afdesign is indeed odd: If I scale it in APub then its 'magic' outer margin increases. Then even if its top boarder doesn't change in y position this .afdesign influences displacement of the text above it. @countbasil, as workaround you can enter a negative distance value for this object to get it more close to the text. countbasil 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 only
countbasil
Thanks for all the tips! I ultimately decided to paste the objects in the document directly, especially as I want shadows, annotations like circles and arrows, etc. to scale independently of the screenshots. It was fun to learn some things you can do with art boards, though! (I had never used them before)
