Fordtman
I have an unsaved file message that keeps showing up at startup and when I try to save it as "flattened" Affinity Photo crashes. The next time I start Affinity Photo the message reappears. Where are the unsaved photos kept so I can delete it, the software does not tell you where the file is. Please don't say I should know where it is, this is an old image and I have been putting up with this "feature" of Affnity for quite a while. Is there somewhere in the software where I can find out what image is loaded (full path name required).
AiDon
Just open the file and exit without saving. Off topic, the OP seems to have used an email address as their forum display name. That makes it available to spammers, so they might want to change it to something else. At least for purchases from the Affinity Store. If purchased from the Microsoft Store they're probably at %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store)\autosave given where other Affinity preferences are saved. (But the simplest answer to the OP's issue should be to let the file restore when Opening Affinity, then close the document without saving. That should delete the autosave file for you using the intended mechanisms, rather than having to manually muck around in the file system ) Alfred 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.

Ron P.
@Fordtman, FWIW, looking on my system I found I have one "autosave" file located under the autosave folder mentioned above. However I've not been getting the save nag. Have you tried to doing a search on your system for all files using the "*.autosave" command? They will have that extension so your pc should locate any and all of them for you to delete. Just open a windows explorer window, then in the Search box on the toolbar generally found in the upper right, it should say Search this PC. Type in *.autosave Quote Affinity Photo 2.4..; Affinity Designer 2.4..; Affinity Publisher 2.4..; Affinity2 Beta versions. I found the images in %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\autosave on my windows 10 system, removing the images in this folder got rid of the problem. Thank you again for your help.
