Feature Request: Hide Pixel Selection

Recommended Posts

I need to have an option to hide the marching ants while trying to paint in vector mode and the ants are hiding what I need to see in the details.

The request was added to Affinity Photo a few years back, would be great to have it in Designer too!

Also wondering if there are other people who do digital painting in Designer since there's a lot of flexibility to use alongside the vector tools, or would it be better in Photo since such options like "Hide Pixel Selection" is available there.

Yep - possibly this is relevant too.

  • Computer-, operating system- and software agnostic; I am a result oriented professional. Look for a fanboy somewhere else.

  • Not an Affinity user og forum user anymore. The software continued to disappoint and not deliver.

I'd really like the option to hide the pixel selection in Affinity Designer too. I know Serif probably doesn't want to add too many raster quality-of-life features to Designer so as to encourage people to buy Photo, but hiding a pixel selection is basic functionality that would help with the Pixel Persona's primary purpose: adding texture or paint to vector linework. The Pixel Persona just feels incomplete without it.
