Affinity Designer Help Desk,

I was so impressed by the trail version that I bought the app.  However, my "styles" tab went blank w/ the accidental hit of a button.  How do I get back the "style" in the tab?

Thanks,

Select default or some other option? Just not unnamed.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Matthew Banaszak.

Can you confirm what release of Designer you're using, and where you purchased it? Help > About should give you the release number. I ask because there's a new release out since yesterday, so it's not clear which release you have. And also because you posted this in the section of the forum reserved for questions/comments on the beta version of Designer, and if you're a new user it seems more likely you're using the retail version.

If you are using the retail version, a moderator will probably want to move this topic to the usual desktop questions forum.

Next, your screenshot shows a Styles category called "Unnamed", which must be one that you created yourself. Perhaps your other styles are in some other category in that dropdown list, such as the one named Default that you should also have.

1. Exit the programme.

2. Hold the Ctrl-key while starting the programme again.

3. Uncheck the first three checkboxes

4. Check the fourth checkbox.

5. Hit the Clear-button.

6. Voila!

Hi @Matthew Banaszak,

Welcome to the forums!

Please do let us know if any of the above doesn't help and you're still unable to use Styles :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
