R C-R
I long ago created a custom stream configured to show me only unread posts in the Questions forum. This usually works as I expect it to, but sometimes I see things like below -- one or more unread topics that were not shown at all in my stream even as recently as a few minutes ago suddenly appear when I refresh or reload the page, & often they appear in the "Last week" section even when like today (Thursday) that can't be correct. Also, from time to time my stream reverts to the expanded view for no reason I can see. Has anybody else seen anything like this? I use the Safari browser on my iMac to access the forums, if that makes any difference. walt.farrell
The "Last Week" indicates, I think, "Posted in the last week". A post from several days ago could suddenly appear if it had been awaiting moderator approval. That could occur if a new user made their first post, which would require approval, but the moderators didn't get to it for awhile. OK, that at least seems plausible ... if "Last Week" really means "Posted in the last week, not including yesterday & today, which are listed in their own sections." But as just now, I also occasionally get things like this with 2 "Todays," one of which appears before the "Yesterday" list. Yes, that is odd. I would expect to see all of the Today entries before the Yesterday entries in normal circumstances. But note that the one that appeared in the first Today section was split by the moderators. And it is the first post by that user, so it is likely that it was posted yesterday and needed approval. At some point it was split, and approved, so it probably was technically "posted" yesterday but actually was first approved and made visible today.
