Elements on Page, drag select, click select

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Another question, i would appreciate input on.

When working on a page, every element seems to be attributed a new layer, ie, 10 colour boxes 10 layers, 10 different type elements 10 more layers.

My frustration is that if I quickly want to drag the cursor over several elements and move them out of the way,  I cant.

Do I always need to mouse click select every element on the page, one by one, to move them?

Thanks a lot

Best

Shane

You should be able to drag-select many layers at a time but what gets selected depends on what the layers are and how your selection Preferences are set-up.
For starters, try setting the Preferences/Tools option pointed to in my screen grab to ON (ticked) and see what happens.
If that doesn’t get you what you want then you may need to give us more specific information and maybe a screen grab or, even better, a video.

Thats exactly what I wanted.

Much appreciated. Thanks a lot for taking the time and the helpful screengrab!

Cheers
