Hey Puck,

You mean they are actually active and bouncing? They aren't static?

I can't say I've ever seen this... I will have to ask around I think!

Hey Chris, they bounce a few times, yes. Then they stand still.

BTW ... it also happens in Publisher 1.8.4 and Designer 1.8.4

Thanks! Some of the developers have seen this. I think they'll take a look into it!

Thank you, Chris 😀

It happens on zooming in and out in my case

... and most of the time when I use the View Tool ... but only a few times, then everything is back in place. :)

Hi @prophet,
Are you running macOS Mojave or any other version of the macOS? Can you record a small clip of this happening with the Open, Save or Place dialogs please (one of them) in full screen? Thanks.

Can't replicate on the work machine running Mojave, though I do get the bounce when zooming as seen in @clemens.holleis's video.

I'll have a look this evening on the Catalina home machine.

I'm getting it on Mojave - I first noticed it locking in the down position when a Designer document was using most of my system memory and went into beachball, so thought it was a one off, but I've just had a look in Pub, and as above, when zooming in and out it has the bug and sometimes locks in the lower position - no big deal

Hi Dazmondo77,
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, on Mojave zooming in/out or double-clicking with the View Tool on canvas (to zoom to fit) does make the "traffic lights" jump. However i've not seen this happening with the Close, Save or Place dialogs.

@prophet,
Thanks. As far as i'm aware this issue only affects Mojave. I will be a bit surprised if you can replicate it in Catalina but let me know if it does happen there. I may have missed something.

Hopefully this will be fixed in the next build.

Hi MEB, this bug is still present in the beta version of Affinity Photo 1.9.0.196 (I can't say if it is still present in the beta version of Designer because I don't test this beta). But I didn't want to open a new thread because of this.

Cheers, Puck

Hi Puck,
Yes, this wasn't fixed yet for this (1.9.x) build. Currently all Affinity Beta apps are affected (on macOS Mojave only). I've bumped the report.

Hello MEB, just for your information, this behavior still exists in version 1.8.6 MAS

Cheers, Puck

Yes, we are aware of it. The latest update (1.8.6) just added Big Sur and Apple M1 compatibility/optimizations. No other changes. Thanks.

Looks like problem solved in Photo Beta 1.9.0.206

Best regards, Puck

@Puck. I'm sorry this is taking so long. Since its affecting just one OS version and doesn't interfere with the daily workflow that much it has a lower priority than others. Nonetheless i keep bumping and updating the report (I'm also on macOS Mojave on my main system so you are not alone here!). Thanks for your patience.
