DPR4AF
I just installed Affinity Photo 1.8.4 on my Mac desktop. One of the keyboard shorts that I use extensively is Inpaint (Option Delete). Under 1.8.4, it is now just Delete. Please fix this! Abra
firstdefence
Inpaint brush tool is ‘J’ and the brush is sized by the square brackets or Control + Option/Alt and left/right movement for size and up and down for hardness. R C-R
I think @DPR4AF may be talking about the Inpaint item on the Edit menu. If so, I think the default keyboard shortcut for that is CMD+Delete, but I may have changed it to that from some factory default. Anyway, if it is that menu item, it is easy enough to change it in Keyboard Shortcuts preferences: firstdefence 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
firstdefence
Thanks for that, on my system it’s ⇧⌫ (Shift + Backspace) R C-R 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... bsun
I don't have experience with previous versions, but on 1.8.4 this also doesn't work for me. The default shortcut is Option-Delete on my system, but no matter what I change it to or what combination of keys I try, the action always results in erasing the selected portion of the image. The only way for me to use Inpaint is to select it from the menu bar. Ironically, if I open the edit menu and then use the keyboard shortcut (instead of selecting Inpaint with the mouse), this works! But I have to open the edit menu first. Definitely a bug.
Staff Gabe Posted August 10, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 10, 2020 Hi all, Issue logged . It seems that Option + Backspace ignores the Option modifier key.
