How to downgrade v.1.8.4 to previous version

After installing newest version 1.8.4 program started going crazy while i was trying to draw (making random lines and then i tried changing controller to brush defaults program crashed ) and i tried installing version 1.8.3 but it said "setup failed" and i don't know what to do.

Please help

Edit: Same problem with Affinity photo. Only works while using mouse

You can downgrade if (and only if) you purchased directly from Serif. I think the following approach should work.

First, uninstall 1.8.4 if it's still there. it might be wise to restart Windows first. 

Then restart Windows again, and right-click on the 1.8.3 installer and choose Run as Administrator.

It sounds as though you're using a graphics tablet? (Please try to supply as much information as you know about your issue)

In 1.8.4 tablet input has been changed to use high precision data, which unfortunately has had a knock on effect for older tablet devices that use 'Mouse Mode'. You can add --legacy-wintab (note the two hyphens at the start, best to copy and paste) to the command line options of the shortcut you launch the application from. This will use the older input options that 1.8.3 used and should allow you to use your tablet how it was in 1.8.3.
