Saving and opening

Recommended Posts

Ok this is baffling (to me). I have a number of drawings I have created on my iPad. I saved copies to google drive as afdesign files. I can open them on my desktop but they are greyed out when I look on my iPad.  What am I doing wrong?

Do you have any other cloud storage you could use? There seem to be problems with some cloud storage options for those who don’t have both Affinity apps installed.

Affinity Designer is just one of three apps in the Affinity suite. Affinity Publisher for iPad is yet to be released but Affinity Photo was available for iPad a year before AD for iPad came along, and those of us who have both AD and APh on our iPads seem to be less restricted when it comes to choosing among the various cloud storage services.

It may well be a google issue.
I think you also have to close the file from desktop before you can open them on iPad. I don’t have Desktop tp confirm that but I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong. Alfred?
