Affinity Photo and lightroom

Recommended Posts

Hi  , when I edit a photograph in affinity photo from lightroom it makes a copy and it opens in affinity, after making the adjustments I save it and where it used to go back to Lightroom it now save it to the original folder it says it's a PSD file But lightroom will not recognise it ?. But I still have the copy which is unaffected by the adjustments which I have just made in affinity Photo I hope this all makes sense to you.

Which makes it quite annoying, I just hope I can get this working correctly soon thanks for your help

It all worked well in affinity Photo bata???

Hi. I have tried all formats it go from Lightroom to infinity photo no problems. I have tried it with Layers and without Layers is still the same problem. It will only save it to a folder outside of Lightroom and if I tried to import it back to lightroom it doesn't recognise it, it saves it as a ( pfphoto ) I'm rather disappointed as it used to work fine in the bata format, would it pay me to uninstall affinity and reinstall or have you any other ideas ???

Lightroom to Affinity for me is bit "notworkign" as well. When I send file from LR to AP (throught external edit), the file opens as PSD. But AP than saves it as a .aphoto. So, instead of saving it with CMD+S I need to export it as PSD to the original folder. I have no file compatibility issues with this procedure, it is just way more complicated than it should.

Should be great, if AP saves (if possible) the orginal file format with CMD+S by default. So when opened as PSD, PSD then… affinity only if the fileformat cann't hold the adjustments.
