I just tried this and you can accomplish something very close using these two techniques.

Instead of drawing a line as your Cut position make a rectangle (and fill it with some contrasting color) with one side the length you need. Rotate the rectangle so one side duplicates the same direction and length on the line you want to use for the cut then place the rectangle with one side effectively where you want the cut to occur then select both objects.

Now go to the “Subtract” option at the top right of the window and click on it.

The object underneath will be cut away at that point leaving only the original part showing.

If you only wish to effectively slice the original object you can create a rectangle that is long dan very narrow almost to the width of a line.

Rotate it to the angle you want the cut to be, place it where you want the cut to occur, select both objects and select “Divide” from the upper right of the screen.

This will effectively cut the original object in two pieces at the intersection of the narrow rectangle and will also slice the narrow rectangle into multiple pieces also that will have to be removed.

This IS NOT the definitive answer but could provide a temporary answer or possible solution.
