21Pilots
Having a go with the trial version, when I select an object it highlights it, but when I unselect it, it leaves a pink outline. It leaves this pink outline on the last few things I select, is there a setting to modify or turn off this?
Staff MEB Posted July 30, 2020 Staff Share Posted July 30, 2020 Hi 21Pilots, Go to menu View > Snapping Manager and change the Candidates dropdown to anything other than Candidate List. To learn more about Snapping Candidates (the pink outline highlights them) check this help topic. 21Pilots
thanks, another noob question and I think it has to do with snapping. When drawing with the pen tool to make a shape, I want the the last point to line up with the first point, but I can't make it so it locks into position (ie so there is a straight vertical line on the left)
Staff MEB Posted July 30, 2020 Staff Share Posted July 30, 2020 In the Snap section in the context toolbar (Pen Tool selected) enable the first icon (Align to nodes of selected curves). You should then see smart guides appearing when the Pen Tool cursor is aligned with other nodes from the same or other curves (if they are selected). 21Pilots 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
