I would like to know if there exists, - either a dedicated module/function for flow chart/mind-mapping (within any of the affinity software range), or other method of intuitively (i.e. as per a dedicated flow-chart program) creating these charts?

I have searched past posts on this subject, but all seem to be many years old and I couldn't find any responses that provided definitive answers.

Thanks and regards,
Steve

Welcome to the forums.
There is no functionality in the Affinity range (or add-ons) to do mind mapping and flow charts in the same way as other software that is designed to do such things as there is no way to ‘connect’ two layers together in a way that they stay ‘connected’ when one is moved.
You can certainly create diagrams using the software but moving layers that have ‘connecting lines’ will require adjustment of those ‘connecting lines’ also.
There are some simple cases where this is not true but they are very simple cases that do not scale nicely up to any usable workflow.

Dear GarryP,  thank you for your response/detailed advice. This is very much appreciated.

Honestly I don't see much demand for that since there are already a bunch of such tools and solutions available (comercial and freeware).

Just to name a few of the many free available/usable tools for drawing work-flow stuff here:

  1. Dia
  2. yEd Graph Editor
  3. Diagram Designer
  4. LibreOffice Draw
  5. Apache OpenOffice Draw
  6. Google Drawings (Zeichnungen)
  7. Draw.io
  8. ... and many more ...

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
