How do I copy colors from gradients points?

Recommended Posts

There are times when you get the perfect color for something but it's trapped in a gradient and the color picker just won't do.

The recent colors section saves the whole gradient. This is also a problem when you want to repeat colors within a gradient but the copy button is not enough--the last color, for instance. If the color points could be dragged out of the gradient composer or insert-name-here it would be amazing 'cause then you could just drop 'em in the palette or something--but they can't. :(

Thanks for answering both,

Yeah, normally I try to make it work with the eyedropper but it only picks up the surface color, it doesn't pick alpha and is isn't always precise. Designer doesn't that color picker in-steroids--it seems from the Affinity Photo screenshot…BTW, I don't think I've launched Photo more than twice. 🤔 Anyway, if it's not possible at least it's out there now, hopefully the devs monitor the forum,

Looking at my own screenshot (I was comparing to Designer to Photo) something sort of popped up.

It does answer my question but it'd still be nice if color points could be rearranged, I think I saw this in another editor but I've been using Designer for about three years now, I don't remember what else is there. 🙃

Cheers!

I didn't know the command-click shortcut, thanks. :)

What I mean is that they ALL can't be freely rearranged within the same dialog window?-panel? IDK. The one on the right end can't be copied or moved, the left end can be copied but not moved. I guess it doesn't matter now that I learned to pick the color, but for me this is just a hobby. I imagine for pros it could get tedious.

Thanks for the class, design was a surprise aptitude and I enjoy learning little tricks, even when I've seen it before people do things differently and it's never lost time. BTW I didn't know this thing had sound and your post scared the living **** out of me 😂 Even worse, it was until the second noise I realize what was it--sort of.. I knew it was a browser window. 💡
