Export to PDF -> missing content.

Recommended Posts

Document is 44 pages - 3 images per page.

Nearly half the photos did not export to the PDF. In some instances it wrote the picture frame to PDF, in some it wrote nothing. No text was left out.

I think some pictures were entered in the document by drag & drop or Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V, but mostly they were inserted by defining a picture frame and using the Place Image tool.

I have started to remove empty frames and inserted images with the Place Image tool, but don't want to keep going if that's not the effective method.

All images are embedded.

I would always use the Place image tool just to be sure. Are the images embedded or linked?

If they’re added via drag’n’drop or copy’n’paste they can only be embedded, can’t they? Like you, Callum, I would always use the Place Image tool to avoid potential problems with embedding content from the clipboard.

Speaking of APu (Windows) it depends on your document setup. If you prefer "Linked", the drag'n'dropped or copy/pasted files are linked.

P.S.: What makes me wonder is the fact, that if I copy the file from explorer, the only option for pasting is "Paste Without format". What kind of format could be there in a JPG?
