kei
When I move a symbol layer with the Move tool, its child layers may disappear. The disappeared layer went far away. Why does this happen? Is it a bug? Affinity Designer version: 1.8.3.641 ad_bug_20200726_181504.mp4 odoshi_bug.afdesign
SPaceBar
HI @kei Welcome to the Affinity forums and thanks for uploading the video of your issue. It looks similar to an issue with symbols and grouped objects moving. I'll take a closer look at your file and get back to you.
kei
Symbols - Objects moving randomly Bug - Designer Bugs found on MacOS - Affinity | Forum This look the same problem. I'm waiting for the bug to be fixed. Currently it is too difficult to create textures with Affinity Designer...
SPaceBar
That's the one I was thinking of. It seems to be the pixel layer causing the problem. Have you tried to create your texture pattern as a vector as this issue does not seem to be affecting vector layers? You can create some interesting effects this way too. kei
No, I haven't tried it yet. I couldn't find a way to create a random fiber look (like the attached video) with vector layer. Using dry brush stroke on pixel layer was much easier. Is there such effect for vector layer?
