Rob_M Posted July 24, 2020 Share Posted July 24, 2020 Hi there, When tracing the outline of a .jpeg file using the pencil tool, the app crashed after 8 or so lines. I reopened the app several times and the same issue occurred. I then created a new doc to transfer my work across but the same issue repeated itself there. Rob_M Posted August 1, 2020 Author Share Posted August 1, 2020 Hi @SPaceBar, thanks for your message. I tried several times to record the software crashing but it seemed to work fine for a few days. The minute I stopped the screen recording it crashed once again, so I finally managed to get a video of it crashing. I can also send you the crash report if it's useful. There have been some improvements in this area. Here is the list of fixes and improvements: Affinity Designer for macOS - 1.8.4 If you are still seeing your issue if you could upload the crash report that would be great. Rob_M Posted August 4, 2020 Author Share Posted August 4, 2020 Thanks for that. I updated Affinity Designer. All seemed to be going well, but it crashed again. This time however there was a recovery file, which I didn't have in the crashes prior to the update. I've attached the latest crash report for you. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum post listed below. The latest beta build is downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts. Affinity Designer 1.9.0 beta for Mac This beta installs parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version. Once our beta programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.9.0 update/patch to all customers.
