How to get rid of these little bumps?

I’m not sure I’d you guys know what I’m talking about but I’ve been fiddling a lot with affinity designer today and I learned I can play around with width of the shape with a sort of curves tool—like in Lightroom. I’ve bumped into this little issue though, instead of of the shape being smooth around there’s little bumps. Anyone know how to resolve this?

I haven't tried using that particular feature, but try changing the miter/bevel properties for your curve and see if that affects the bump you showed in that Imugur link.

There is a long time bug with vector brushes that shows up as either a dot or torn edge at start of stroke. I suspect this is what you are experiencing. One day (maybe), it will be fixed but probably not any time soon 😩

For future reference, instead of adding links to an external site, you can also upload your files including your .afdesign file directly to this group so that others can help you. Just save a copy to On My IPad or to iCloud Files and select the choose files option.
