Jim_Tim Posted July 21, 2020 Share Posted July 21, 2020 Hi everyone, Pretty straightforward question... Is there an easy/simple way to create the shape below (the Indesign version)? In Indesign, I would simply use the pen/line tool - set it to a dotted line, then adjust the shear (to create an axonometric like angle - see below). However, the shear angle behaves differently in AffPub when using the pen tool. It does however behave the same when using the arrow tool, but I'm not sure how to apply a dotted line to the arrow shape?... sfriedberg Posted July 21, 2020 Share Posted July 21, 2020 The result is not editable (so I would save the original object in a non-visible layer for future reference), but you might apply the arrow head and line style, convert the object outline to curves (losing the ability to change line properties), then apply the shear. firstdefence Posted July 21, 2020 Share Posted July 21, 2020 If you only have Affinity Publisher you cannot expand the stroke applied to the curve, you can rasterise it and then you get the shear option with the move tool selected. Having Affinity Designer would keep the arrow a vector.
