[Designer 1.8.3/Win] Change from Artboards back to normal

An Artboard acts as a container for the objects within and doesn't have an option to undo/reverse. But with an Artboard selected you can use Layer > Convert Artboard to Object or copy the contents of the Artboard to a new blank document that is the same size.

I'm curious why, if a document has just one artboard, it would be necessary to convert back to having a canvas instead. A one-artboard document and a document with a canvas are very similar.

In an Artboard document the bleed will not be shown filled but in a canvas document. I do not understand why Serif does not add the opportunity that the bleed will also be shown filled on Artboard documents.
