But in Publisher you can also Link files, rather than Embedding them. That will allow you to edit them in either Publisher (double-click to get an editing tab for the linked image, use Photo Persona) or in Photo (File > Open the original in Photo, or double-click to get an editing tab for the linked image, then File > Edit in Photo).

Thank you very much for catching my drift, just as Publisher can be modified, embedded or linked in the document settings, I looked at Designer and it doesn't have the option to link, then my feedback to Affinity should be that I would like to add a similar feature to Publisher linking documents in Designer.
